Overview: In the spirit of the First Things First Manifesto (1964 & 2000) we as designers have the responsibility and opportunity to use our talents to raise awareness of an issue, to encourage debate and ultimately to promote change.

For centuries, people have regarded the planet as an inexhaustible source of food and resources, too vast to be affected by anything we do. But in fact, according to WWF’s 2018 Living Planet Report, wildlife population has decreased by 60% globally in less than 50 years.

This year at yellobee, we reimagined the card tradition for the holiday season and designed a customized deck of cards to raise awareness about some of our planet’s most endangered species.

The deck features the African Elephant (hearts), the Giant Panda (cloves), the Hawksbill Sea Turtle (diamonds), and the Blue Whale (spades).
