This poster was designed for a screenplay adaptation of John Michael McDonagh’s Calvary.
Chaos and sin reigns in the little town where the plot takes place. Father James’ parishioners morph from a group of perverse individuals to one of intransigent lunatics going through a catalogue of twisted vices and sins, trying to make Father James fall into temptation.
His distorted image is starring the poster, captured into a geometric shape known as Enneagram that represents the sins and virtues. The Enneagram, developed by Pluto, is a way of examining the structure of the human soul and how it becomes distorted.
