In-Between
— Experimental Photography Project
This project was part of my year abroad in Ireland. By then, I only knew that I wanted to explore this personal period of changes and new experiences. The work is, in fact, an observation of the atmosphere that surrounded me, expressed in highly sensitive but ambiguous images that show everyday and mundane scenarios, trying to show Ireland’s beauty from my own perspective. The week’s numeration is meant to be the thread that creates a linear narrative but far from creating an explicit story. I try to go beyond the anecdote and, in the same way as memory, retain a more emotional and thoughtful trace.
The framework that I have articulated can be summarized as ‘Inside- outside’, through which I interrogate tourist tropes from an ‘insider’ point of view. This project is an allegation to observe, experiment and feel the places, as the usual relationship that is established with the environment is ephemeral and indifferent.
