Case Study: Event identity is about landing on what a celebration is going to embody—both visually and emotionally—and bringing it to life through color, ambience, personalized elements, and thoughtful details. The main purpose of wedding branding is to understand the couple’s ideas, and translate them into a cohesive look and feel that represents them and connects with their guests in a unique and personal way.
Since the celebration was going to take place at a winery in Spain, we leveraged the richness and warmth of the different wine shades to define a color palette that would bring the guests right to the heart of the wine country. Based on these colors, we developed a set of moodboards for decoration, table setting, flowers, and even the bridesmaids and groomsmen outfits.
The couple wanted to bring together the elegance proper of a wedding, with that country side feeling of a summer night under the stars with family. And so we combined silk slip dresses and curvy serif fonts, with autochthonous flowers and long family style tables under strings of lights.
For the stationery we chose a minimal and typographic approach, bringing in some hand-lettered elements to add personality. The logo was also inspired by the Spanish countryside, each curve shaped to mimic the tangled and intertwined vine branches that characterize the landscapes of the Golden Mile of wine. At the same time, the joint letters symbolize the union of different parts becoming one better whole.
We then brought the common theme into all other elements, giving a personal touch to every single detail. A bodegon of hand-lettered bottles of wine for the seating plan, burgundy name cards on cork bases for the assigned seats, local honey jars branded with the couple’s monogram as wedding favors, a custom illustrated map of the venue, and a website with information and RSVP tracking.
