Entre(meses) y Siglos
— Book Illustration
The publisher Diente de Perro and the platform Clip On Art joined to create an illustrated edition of ‘Los Entremeses’ (interludes) by Miguel de Cervantes in order to democratize reading the classics through its renewal.
I was commissioned to illustrate the interlude 'El vizcaíno fingido'. These interludes, despite being short and simple, hide a strong criticism revealing the complicated Spanish society of the time. The intricate path is what the line drawing technique represents: from something simple, something complex is created. As there are four main characters in the play, there is an illustration representing the principal flaw of each one.
