The Vinyl Suns are a Blues Rock band from Athens, Ga. Their unapologetic love for the old style blues, rock n' roll, vinyl records and funky grooves defines their personality as well as their music ethos.
To create their logo and visual identity I went back to the raw seventies' letterpress style and combined it with some contemporary tweaks. A sound equalizer shaped as a sun completes the design, giving an edgy but modern look and feel to the brand.
The color palette, trying to keep it simple and bold, uses a single accent color on top of dark background. Being orange a color that stands for joy, sunshine and enthusiasm I chose an amber shade as the accent color.
